We’re glad you are here! We are a community of faith that has deep roots both in our Christian tradition through two historic Protestant denominations, and in the history of our South Mountain neighborhood of Phoenix. Plus, we are a community that is looking forward into the future, being led by God’s renewing Spirit and believing that GOD IS STILL SPEAKING through open hearts, open minds and open doors!
We are a predominantly English-speaking congregation with global vision and a theology of the grace, justice, and extravagant welcome that Jesus offered. Our sacred space is located on the southeast corner of 7th Street and Southern Avenue, Phoenix, Arizona. Our Sunday worship is held at 10:30 a.m. All are welcome!
We are dually affiliated with the United Church of Christ and the United Methodist Church. Our church office hours are 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays.
Just as our corner on 7th Street and Southern Ave. was orginally a neighborhood center of what is now the Roosevelt Park Historic District, designed to support the fellowship, education, social services and faith development of South Mountain in its early years, our heritage and mission are also to support and host other organizations and faith communities seeking to serve our neighborhood and build bridges of faith and service. Our facility is also home to Gentle Shepherd Metropolitan Community Church, and the Samoan Christian Mission of Arizona; also G.O.A.L.S. Counseling services.
