Rev. Richard Doerrer-Peacock
South Mountain Community Church is served by Rev. Rich Doerrer-Peacock. Pastor Rich is a native of Phoenix,a graduate of California Lutheran University and Luther Theological Seminary in Minnesota. He has a love of ministry, music, facts and figures, education, and advocacy work especially on behalf of children. He was ordained in the Lutheran Church in America (a predecessor to the ELCA), changed his standing to the United Church of Christ, and also enjoys the multiple gifts the United Methodist Church has to offer! He's the father of three grown children, and husband to Barb, also a pastor, serving currently at Velda Rose United Methodist Church, Mesa, AZ.
